International Exchange

Kyushu Electric Power is a member of AESIEAP*1(The Association of Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific), actively cooperating in the promotion and management of the organization as a Council member representing the 10 members from Japan as well as an Executive Committee member, since 1998.

*1 AESIEAP・・・ a regional non-government organization founded in 1975, whose main objectives include facilitating exchange of expertise between electric power companies of various countries and territories in the region; promoting co-operation among member organizations; and seeking and providing solutions to problems that the industry is facing in this area of the world. The AESIEAP members are organizations responsible for providing or administering public electricity supply in the Asia Pacific region and other organizations related to this industry. In October 2010, the Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) was held in Taipei under the patronage of the AESIEAP.
About CEPSI

As a gathering of power industry-related people in the Asian Pacific Region, it is boasted as the largest international conference, with participation of 1,000 delegates from about 30 countries around the world, including non-members of AESIEAP. The last conference was hosted by Taiwan Electric Power in Taipei over a five-day period from October 24 2010, and included lectures, presentation of research papers and an exhibition. The next conference is scheduled to be hosted by PT PLN (Persero) in Bali, Indonesia in October 2012.
