| Kyushu Electric Power Company Inc., has launched a technical consulting project in Taiwan. In cooperation with Sinotech Engineering Consultants, Ltd., (http://www.sinotech.com.tw/), a consulting firm in Taiwan, the company won a bid on the consulting project regarding the upgrade and expansion plan of Shenao Thermal Power Plant operated by Taiwan Power Company (Taipower).
Taipower is upgrading and expanding the current coal thermal power plant to a super-critical pressure coal thermal power plant with two of 800,000 kW capacity generators. In this consulting project, Kyushu Electric Power handles the technical consulting in the design of the thermal power generating facilities, the construction, and the test operation making full use of the company’s expertise in super-critical pressure coal thermal power generating facilities.
Kyushu Electric Power Company will offer comprehensive consultation in foreign countries by capitalizing on the know-how and expertise accumulated through its domestic experiences in thermal power plant construction, operation, and maintenance. Through our consulting business, the company contributes to a stable power supply in foreign countries.
