4 Outline of Registration of Prospective Suppliers

After examining the financial and technical factors of companies that wish to become prospective suppliers, Kyushu Electric Power registers those that it considers to be qualified.

This means that any company wishing to deal with Kyushu Electric Power for the first time is required to complete the registration procedures for becoming a prospective supplier for a particular product.

  1. A company wishing to do business with us is asked to fill in the "Application for Business Transactions" form which can be obtained from us. Fill in this form and submit it along with information on the product you wish to supply, an outline of your company, and a description of your business conditions.
    - Documents related to the product you wish to supply should describe product standards, development and design systems, manufacturing systems, quality control systems, delivery systems, maintenance systems, etc.
    - Documents related to an outline of your company and its business conditions should include a transcript of your company's registry book and financial statements.
  2. The registration procedures are conducted separately for each particular product.
  3. After confirming the demand for the product you wish to supply and the benefits of dealing with your company on the basis of the documents submitted, the Company determines whether or not to register your company as a prospective supplier through a comprehensive evaluation of various financial factors such as scope of operations, business conditions, credit status, as well as such technical factors as technological capability, production facilities, order processing systems, quality control systems, and after-sales services.
  4. In conducting financial and technical evaluations, Kyushu Electric Power may, as the need arises, ask the applicant to submit additional data and samples.
  5. The time required for the evaluations vary according to the product an applicant wishes to supply. In particular, Kyushu Electric Power asks that the applicant allow a considerable length of time for items that require a technical examination and for those for which the Company has no purchase plan in the foreseeable future. When the data to be submitted is insufficient or the submission is delayed, the examination may be held up and its period lengthened.
  6. Kyushu Electric Power shall notify the applicant of the results of the evaluations.
  7. If the applicant is considered to be qualified, it will be listed in our register as a prospective supplier of the particular product concerned.
