We have revised the operation plan for Genkai Nuclear Power Station Units No.3 and No.4 and today submitted a notification of the revision to the NRA in accordance with ‘Act on the Regulation of Nuclear Source Material, Nuclear Fuel Material and Reactors’.

　Regarding Unit No.3, which is currently undergoing its 16th periodic inspection, the resumption of commercial operation will be rescheduled to January 20, 2023, based on the status of Specialized Safety Facility ("SSF") construction work.

　Regarding Unit No.4, the resumption of commercial operation after the 14th periodic inspection has been rescheduled to July 10, 2022. This is from the viewpoint of ensuring supply capacity during the summer season, while having reviewed the construction schedule of the SSF. In addition, on 12 September, 2022, the day before the deadline for the installation of SSF, we will suspend commercial operation and start the 15th periodic inspection. Commercial operation will resume on February 23, 2023, after having completed the SSF construction work.

　Putting safety above all else, we will approach each inspection and the SSF construction work carefully in these outage inspections and do our utmost to secure the safe and stable operation of the station going forward.
