Participation in an Australian Logistics Fund - First Real Estate Investment in Australia -
Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. (Kyuden) is to participate in the Australian Prime Property Fund Industrial, a logistics fund comprising logistics facilities located in major metropolitan areas across Australia.
Australia is expected to see continued stable population growth and economic expansion, which is anticipated to drive increasing demand for logistics facilities.
Established in 1996, the fund owns properties located in high-demand areas within the metropolitan regions of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. While generating rental income from its existing portfolio, the fund also aims to enhance asset value through selective redevelopment and refurbishment initiatives.
The fund is managed by Lendlease Investment Management (Australia) Pty Limited, a subsidiary of Lendlease Corporation Limited (“Lendlease”), one of Australia’s leading real estate companies. Under Lendlease’s Mission Zero policy, the fund seeks to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions and achieve zero emissions by 2040 without relying on offsets. Through participation in this fund, Kyuden will also be able to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.
The Kyuden Group will continue to actively pursue urban development and placemaking initiatives toward the realization of the Kyuden Group Management Vision 2035.
