(Information)Approval of construction planning of Specific Safety Facilities for Genkai Nuclear Power Station Units No.3 and 4 -Approval of "facilities installed in a reactor subsidiary building"-
We have divided the construction approval application for Specific Safety Facilities (SSFs) of Genkai Nuclear Power Station Units 3 and 4 into three parts. Today, we received approval for the first part, the "facilities installed in a reactor subsidiary building", from the Nuclear Regulation Authority(NRA).
We will make an effort to deal with the NRA's inspections respectfully and sincerely to improve safety and reliability of nuclear power stations.

They have a function to prevent damages of containment vessel. They are preparation in case cooling functions for nuclear reactor stop and a reactor core gets fatal damages due to terrorism such like an intentional collision of jumbo airplane toward a reactor support building.
