Unit 3 of Genkai Nuclear Power Plant had gone offline on January 21, 2022 for its 16th periodic inspection. The required inspections have now been almost completed, as well as the realization of the Specific Safety Facilities and the permanent DC power supply system (third system). The reactor is scheduled to go back online and reach criticality on December 10, and resume power generation on December 12.

　After resuming power generation, the plant will undergo adjustment operations to confirm the function of individual components while gradually increasing power output, and is scheduled to return to commercial operation in the beginning of January 2023 after having completed an integrated performance test.

　We will continue to take all possible measures to ensure the safe and stable operation of the Genkai Nuclear Power Plant.
