Four western electric power companies (Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc., Shikoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc.) have agreed to cooperate and concluded an agreement in nuclear power operation.

　We will cooperate for enhancing the effectiveness of 'Cooperation Agreement between Nuclear Operators in Nuclear Emergency' which concluded between ten electric power companies, Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. and Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. on 10th October 2014.
　The additional cooperation agreement, dispatching staff and providing material and equipment, enhances measures for preventing expansion of damage and recovering from disaster by making the most of our geographical proximity in nuclear emergency.

　In addition to cooperation in nuclear emergency, we will also cooperate in initiatives for further safe and smooth decommissioning of nuclear reactors, and for establishing the facility for dealing with specific severe accident.
　We will continue doing everything possible to further ensure the stability and reliability of nuclear power operation as responsible operators.
