Strategic alliance in LNG procurement between Kyushu Electric Power and Tokyo Gas

　Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President: Michiaki Uriu, hereinafter “Kyushu Electric Power”) and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Michiaki Hirose, hereinafter “Tokyo Gas”) have been strengthening the relationship in various fields such as power business and LNG procurement, etc.

　Today, taking account into realizing the further optimization for LNG procurements of both companies to contribute the stable energy supply in Japan, Kyushu Electric Power and Tokyo Gas have agreed to consider the strategic alliance in LNG procurement as below;.

1. We are considering the cooperation of LNG procurement and transportation to contribute the further flexibility and the cost reduction.
2. We are considering the cooperation of securing LNG to ensure the stability of supply of both companies, including in an emergency.

　We are going to push forward discussion in a wide range of fields to realize stable and affordable energy supply in the future.
