We submitted the application for permission for a change in reactor installation to Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) on December 17^th 2015, and it was accepted on April 5^th 2017.
This application was for Specific Safety Facilities (SSFs) regarding efforts to improve safety and reliability of Sendai nuclear power station unit No.1 and 2.

　Applications for approval of construction planning regarding Sendai nuclear power station unit No.1 will be submitted separately as below to implement efficient construction, because SSFs will have to be installed within the time required by laws.

　Today, we submitted to NRA the application for approval of construction planning regarding "1. Facilities installed in a reactor subsidiary building" that will be implemented in a periodic inspection.

　Also the application for approval of construction planning regarding "2. Newly installed buildings" and "3. Newly installed facilities" will be submitted as soon as we get prepared.

　We will make an effort to deal with the NRA's inspections respectfully and sincerely.

※SSFs
　They have a function to prevent damages of containment vessel. They are preparation in case cooling functions for nuclear reactor stop and a reactor core gets fatal damages due to terrorism such like an intentional collision of jumbo airplane toward a reactor support building.
