Kyushu Electric Power Company Inc., has revised the financial forecasts for the six months of FY2009 (from April 1st, 2009 to September 30th, 2009) announced on July 29th, 2009 based on the recent business circumstances and its performance.

2. The Reason for Revision
Kyushu Electric Power has revised the financial forecasts for the six months ended September 30, 2009 as above taking into consideration the rescheduling of some of originally planned maintenance and other expenses to the second half of the fiscal year.
This revision has no effect on the forecasts for the full-year financial results.
