Total electricity sales volume by Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc., for the month of July 2006 came to about 720,300 million kWh, up about 1.7% from July 2005.

In the residential sector, despite the lower temperature than last year, which caused less demand in air-conditioning, sales volume remained unchanged from the previous year due to the increase demand from newly developed customers in business sector.
