1.Overview
Total electricity sales volume by Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc., for the month of September 2006 came to about 7,933 million kWh, up about 2.5% from September 2005.

(1)Customers Other Than Large-Scale Industrial Customers
Despite the lower temperature than last year, sales volume in September 2006 increased by 2.2% from September 2005 due to an increase in all-electric housing which stimulated residential demand and also due to an increase in demand from newly developed industrial and commercial customers in business sector.
