Michiaki Uriu

Michiaki Uriu is the Chairperson of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
Mr. Uriu took up his current post in 2018. He built his career through his work in the Thermal Power Division, the Corporate Strategy Division and the Environmental Division. He was involved in many key projects in the Thermal Power Division, such as the planning of the LNG-fueled Shin Oita Power Station and overseas IPP business. After being appointed President in 2012, he took command during the most difficult period in the company's history. In a period of electricity market reforms and rate revisions, he ensured that safety measures were implemented successfully to restart Kyushu's nuclear power stations. He entered Kyushu Electric Power in 1975, after graduating from Osaka University with a master's degree in industrial mechanical engineering.

Kazuhiro Ikebe

Kazuhiro Ikebe is the President and CEO of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
After graduating from Tokyo University Faculty of Law in 1981, he joined Kyushu Electric Power the same year. In 1987, Mr. Ikebe broadened his horizons by studying at the University of Washington in Seattle for three years. While spending much of his career in the Corporate Strategy Division, he also been involved in Power Generation, Human Resources, General Affairs, as well as spending time as secretary to the President. He hold a variety of managerial positions, being a General Manager in the Power Division (2012), where he contributed to restarting Kyushu Electric Power's nuclear power stations, and a GM (2014) and a Deputy Director (2016) in the Corporate Strategy Division, where he played a key role in the creation of management strategies. Following his term as Senior Managing Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Corporate Strategy Division in 2017, Mr. Ikebe was appointed President and CEO in 2018.

Yuuzou Sasaki

Yuuzou Sasaki is a Vice-Presidential Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
After receiving his master's degree in civil engineering from Tokyo University, he joined Kyushu Electric Power in 1978. As an expert civil engineer, he has been involved in the construction of power stations and dams throughout his career. Since being named GM of the Department of Civil Engineering in 2008, he became Executive Officer for the same department in 2010. In 2011, he assumed the position of Director of Technology Division and Managing Executive Officer. Three years later in 2014, he was appointed Senior Managing Executive Officer. Mr. Sasaki took up his current position as Vice-Presidential Executive Officer in 2016.

Hideomi Yakushinji

Hideomi Yakushinji is a Vice-Presidential Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
Upon graduation from the Faculty of Economics at Kyoto University in 1976, he entered Kyushu Electric Power the same year. After many years with the Corporate Strategy Division, he advanced his career in a variety of areas such as information systems, business management, and as a branch manager. Following positions as head of Information Systems (2007) and Management Divisions (2009), he was named Kumamoto Branch Manager in 2010, becoming Executive Officer that year. Mr. Yakushinji rose to Managing Executive Officer in 2012 as Head of the Siting Affairs and the District Symbiosis Division. Following five years of service as Director of the District Symbiosis Division from 2013, he assumed his present post in 2018.

Yoshiro Watanabe

Yoshiro Watanabe is a Vice-Presidential Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
After graduating from the School of Law at Kyushu University in 1977, he joined Kyushu Electric Power. Through his involvement mainly with the Marketing Department, he built up his career in business management and, as a branch manager, he cultivated regional relations. Following leadership roles as GM of the Energy Solutions (2007), Corporate Marketing (2008), and Marketing (2010), Mr. Watanabe was named Director of the Marketing Division (2011), becoming Executive Officer and Kumamoto Branch Manager in 2012. Upon his appointment as Managing Executive Officer of Business Administration in 2014, he became consequently Senior Managing Executive Officer and Director of the Marketing Division in 2015. He took up his current post as Vice-Presidential Executive Officer in 2018.

Nobuya Osa

Nobuya Osa is a Senior Managing Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kyushu University in 1977, and enrolled in Kyushu Electric Power that same year. He advanced his career through his work in the Accounting Department and Corporate Planning Division. In 2009, he was made GM of the Accounting Department. In 2011, he was appointed as CEO of the Board of Kyushu Rinsan. (an affiliate company of Kyushu Electric Power). Following a period of three years being an auditor, he was appointed as an Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors in 2018, and subsequently became a Senior Managing Executive Officer as Head of the Director of the Operation Division in 2019.

Ichirou Fujii

Ichirou Fujii is a Senior Managing Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
After graduating from Kyushu University's School of Law, he entered Kyushu Electric Power in 1979. While involved mainly in the Personnel and Labor Department, he developed his career working in the Sales Division and as a branch manager building regional relations. Following postings as GM of the Personnel and Labor Department (2009) and GM of the Kagoshima Branch Office (2012), Mr. Fujii assumed the position of Director of the Human Resources Vitalization Division in 2015. The following year he was appointed Managing Executive Officer and in 2018 he became Senior Managing Executive Officer. Upon joining the Board of Directors, he took on the responsibility of projects from the Secretary Office.

Naoyuki Toyoshima

Naoyuki Toyoshima is a Senior Managing Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
He entered the company in 1982, upon completion of his master's degree in nuclear engineering at Tohoku University. Through his involvement in the Nuclear Power Division, both at Kyushu Electric Power's Headquarters and on-site at their nuclear power stations, he has acquired expertise in their operations and quality control management. As a branch manager, he has also gained experience in managing regional relations. After being a GM of Nuclear Power Division (2011), he became an Executive Officer when he assumed the post of Miyazaki Branch Manager in 2015, becoming Managing Executive Officer when he was named Deputy Director of the Nuclear Power Division in 2017. Mr. Toyoshima assumed his current position on the Board when he was appointed Director of the same division in 2018.

Makoto Toyoma

Makoto Toyoma is a Senior Managing Executive Officer of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
He entered the company in 1981, upon graduating from Tokyo University with a degree in Engineering. Following a long career built in the Power Transport and Corporate Strategy Divisions, he was a branch manager cultivating regional relations. He was also sent to serve twice in the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan (FEPC). Thanks to this experience, Mr. Toyama has a deep knowledge of the electric power industry, both within and beyond Japan. After serving as GM of the Engineering Department for the FEPC in 2009, he became GM of the Transmission and Systems Operations Division of Kyushu Electric Power in 2013. When he became Fukuoka Branch Manager in 2016, he was named Executive Officer. He assumed the post of Director of the Corporate Strategy Division in 2018, concurrently becoming Senior Managing Executive Officer on the Board of Directors.

Akiyoshi Watanabe

Akiyoshi Watanabe is an External Member of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
He graduated from Tokyo University's Engineering department in 1966, and in that same year began working at Toyota Motor Corporation.
In 1996, after building his credentials through his work in production and quality control as well as in the overseas division, he was made an executive. He has held a number of important positions, being a non-executive director for Kyushu-based Toyota Motor Kyushu in 1998, then becoming a Managing Director in 2001, Representative Director and President in 2002, and Chairman and CEO in 2008. From 2011 to 2015 he served as an advisor for Toyota Motor Kyushu. He started his post as an External Member of the Board of Directors in 2009.

Ritsuko Kikukawa

Ritsuko Kikukawa is an External Member of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
She graduated from Kyushu University's Education department in 1974, starting employment at the Fukuoka Prefectural Government Office that same year. After starting work, she advanced her career through her work in the fields of education and gender equality. After retiring from her prefectural duties in 2008, she became the Executive Director for Japan's National Institution for Youth Education (2008-2011), and in 2012 became Executive Vice President for Kyushu University (2012-2014). From 2014, she has been involved in education through her work as a specially appointed professor for the Open University of Japan and as Director at Fukuoka Learning Center. She has served as an External Member of the Board of Directors since 2015.

Eiji Kamei

Eiji Kamei is an Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of Kyushu Electric Power's Board of Directors.
He graduated from Kyushu University Graduate school (specializing in Energy Conservation Engineering) and enrolled in Kyushu Electric Power that same year. Having mainly worked in the Transportation Department and Corporate Planning Division, he also has managerial experience in localization. In 2009, he became Senior Manager of Engineering Department. In 2011, he was made Executive Officer and Deputy Director of the Corporate Strategy Division and Senior Manager of Business Planning. In 2013, he became Executive Officer and General Manager for the Oita Branch. After working as an auditor in 2016, he took his place as a member of the Board of Directors in 2018.

Michihiro Uruma

Michihiro Uruma is an Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.
Upon graduating from the School of Economics at Kobe University in 1977, he entered Kyushu Electric Power the same year. After entering the company he built up his credentials mainly in the Accounting and Audit Divisions. He was Senior Manager in charge of the Audit Division in 2007, and GM of the General Affairs Division in 2009. He has held a number of important positions in the local business community, being a Senior Managing Director of the Kyushu Economic Federation in 2011. In 2013, he became CEO and President of Hakata Station Building. He was promoted to Executive Officer of the Kyushu Electric Power Board of Directors in 2018 and the following year he was appointed as Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.

Fumiko Furusho

Fumiko Furusho is an External Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.
She graduated from the Education Department of Japan's International Christian University in 1977 and started employment at Furusho Tochi Ltd. She was the Japan Trustee (1998-2008) and Executive Director (2000-2004) for the Special Olympics, an international organization which provides a variety of sports training for the intellectually disabled and a platform to celebrate their achievements.
She served as a Mediation Committee Member for Kumamoto Family Court (2004-2010), and worked at the Kumamoto Prefectural Board of Education (2009-2012). Since 2018, she has been an active member of Kumamoto University's Management Council. She became an Auditor for Kyushu Electric Power in 2013, and from 2018 began working as an Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.

Yusuke Inoue

Yusuke Inoue is an External Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.
He graduated from Hitotsubashi University's Department of Commercial Science in 1973, and started working at the Bank of Japan. In 1985 he moved to Fukuoka Sogo Bank Ltd (known as Fukuoka City Bank from 1989, and currently known as Nishi Nippon City Bank following a merger with Nishi Nippon Bank in 2004). There, he held various titles including Member of the Board of Directors (1986-1990), Managing Director (1990-1993), Executive Director (1993-1997), and Vice President (1997-2003). In 2003, he became Chairman of the Kyushu Card Company Ltd. From 2005, he started working as Chairman at Kyushu Servicer, Inc. He became an auditor at Kyushu Electric Power in 2016, and since 2018 has been working as an Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.

Kazutaka Koga

Kazutaka Koga is an External Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.
In 1986 he finished training as a legal apprentice and became a registered lawyer. After working at Fukuoka Law Office, in 1986 he founded Koga Kazutaka Law Offices. He served as the Vice-Chair of the Kyushu Federation of Bar Associations as well as Chairman of the Fukuoka Prefecture Bar Association (2012-2013) before serving as chair for the Japan Federation of Bar Associations in 2014. He was appointed an auditor at Kyushu Electric Power in 2016, and in 2018 he was made an Audit and Supervisory Committee Member of the Board of Directors.
