When the Power is Out
The neighborhood is also out of power.
Our equipment has failed.
We will work to restore power as soon as possible, so please wait a moment.
When a power outage occurs, we provide information on our website.
Also, with the "Power Outage Information Apps," we will promptly notify you of power outages and restoration estimates for your registered area via push notifications, so please make use of it.
Only your house (all or part) has disappeared
Please check the distribution board.
ABC are not switched off
Please contact your nearest distribution office (call center).
【Caution】
If the meter has a built-in limiter function, the light will automatically turn back on 10 seconds after the limiter has been tripped. However, if you have not reduced the number of electrical appliances you are using, the power will go out again. Repeated power outages may prevent the power from turning back on. In that case, please contact your nearest distribution office (call center).
AThe limiter (current limiter) has tripped.
Operation
Turn A "On."
The main cause is an overload of electricity. Please reduce the number of electrical appliances you are using and turn the limiter's knob to "On."
For customers on the mainland, if you wish to change your contracted amperage, please contact your electricity provider (retail electricity business operator).Customers on remote islands should contact their nearest distribution office.
BThe earth leakage breaker is tripped.
It may trip due to shocks such as lightning.
Step 1
Turn all C to "Off."
Step 2
Lower B completely once to the "Off" position, then turn it "On." The switch may have stopped midway. In that case, lower it until it clicks into the "Off" position, then raise it.
Note) If there is a star (★) button, press the button and then raise the lever.
Step 3
Turn each C "On" one by one.
01. If "B" goes off while you are turning it on, turn off the breaker for "C".(The circuit for that "C" breaker may have a ground fault, and leaving it on will cause another complete power outage.) 02. "Repeat Step 2, then turn on all breakers except for the one you turned off in Step 1. (This will allow you to use electricity except for areas where there is a risk of electric leakage.)
*Please note that the circuit for the breaker you turned off in Step 1 may have a ground fault, so please consult an electrical contractor or service center."
Inspection and investigation of customer electrical equipment by our (and contractors') workers (note) will be subject to a fee. For details, please check here ▶▶▶ Inspection and Survey of Customer's Electrical Equipment During a Power Outage (Fees, etc.)
*We cannot carry out repair work on customers' electrical equipment (customer assets). Therefore, even if you request an inspection and survey by our company (for a fee), if repair work on your electrical equipment is necessary, you will need to separately contact an electrical contractor or service center (a separate fee will be required).
C breaker has tripped.
Operation
Turn C "On."
The main causes are an overload of electricity in the tripped circuit or a malfunction of an electrical appliance or cord. Please unplug the appliance in the tripped circuit and then turn the breaker "On." If the breaker or earth leakage breaker trips again, the circuit is faulty. If your circuit (customer's equipment) is faulty, please consult a nearby electrical contractor or service center.
